4myhead.com top 10 style tips for those with hair loss

When speaking to clients and health professionals, we have heard many great ideas for style tips for those with hair loss from chemotherapy or radiation during cancer treatment.
So for 2011, our first ever top 10 style tips for hair loss.
1. Try something different. There are many choices and it is useful to have to hand a selection of hats, scarves or turbans that offer comfort, style and warmth.
2. Don't be afraid of colour. Many colours flatter any complexion so don't always turn to black, but look at reds, pinks, blues and greens in seasonal shades.
3. Consider wearing makeup, for example to shape eyebrows. Many services are available to help you.
4. Keep it easy. It can be difficult to tie a square or silk scarf. Find easy to tie styles such as our Capry headscarf or look at hats which can be easily put on.
5. Consider a wig, even if just as a back up.
6. Get a simple beanie cap, preferably in cotton, that you can wear in the house or out and about.
7. The turban style is perfect for a stylish look or simply before, during or after a bath.
8. Many wig suppliers also sell fringes which can be placed at the front or back of cotton headwear.
9. Keep warm in bed with a sleep cap.
10. Choose a style that adds volume, is secure, but doesn't cling tightly to your head.
With the cold weather, many people are wearing hats so don't be afraid to experiment. From www.4myhead.com for stylish headwear choices

Hats or fascinators

A lovely end to 2010 with a winter wedding. A very classy wedding in a lovely old hotel in the English home counties countryside.

I of course, wore a hat, not one designed by 4myhead.com, but an older structured felt hat. When queried by my other half, I commented that it was an English wedding so I must wear a hat. We arrived to find no other hats.

There were a number of ladies with lovely feathery and colourful fascinators. So is there a change, for formal occasions from hats to fascinators? It is easier to see past or through a fascinator and they can be worn for the evening and the meal as well so I can see the advantages.

I continue to prefer hats to keep me warm, frame the face and of course add that bit of individual style.

Some of our less formal hats are on sale during January on www.4myhead.com. Or just ask if you need one to match a winter wedding outfit on info@4myhead.com.
