On Wednesday 6 April, Year 12 students will be running a fashion show which is part of their evaluation process for their Textiles AS Level coursework. The students organise this event themselves and it is a great opportunity to celebrate the success of their work within the Department.
All Textiles students are encouraged to participate in this event, whether it is backstage, on the catwalk or with promotions. This show will incorporate garments from the following year groups:
Brief Programme Outline
Year 7 hats linked to the 4myhead.com Teenage Cancer Trust fundraising project
Year 9 garments are based on their current project ‘The Lion King’
Year 10 garments are their GCSE coursework based on themes set by the exam board
Year 11 is a mixed range of products based around their own personal challenge for the Arts Award
Year 12 products are based on the theme of confectionery
Year 13 products are based on the theme of ‘London’. Students have incorporated this theme into their work in a way that they feel reflects their view of London
As well as an opportunity to celebrate student successes, it is a huge
fundraising event with many local businesses supporting the school.
On the evening there will be a variety of stalls with jewellery, hats, makeup, beauty products and clothing. Doors open at 6.30pm on Wednesday 6 April.
We will have jashcroft.co.uk hats and headwear available for sale as well as Teenage Cancer Trust bandanas.
